The Polly 3D engine
Note
Polly is now obsolete and discontinued. Check out http://www.irio.co.uk for more details.
Old polly stuff
The Polly 3D engine is a free C++-based game engine that runs on Windows,
OS X and Linux systems. Polly
is also a universal solvent, commonly found several places in nature.
The engine is currently under development, and an estimated beta version will be released in [SYNTAX ERROR], if Mercury and
Uranus are in a triseptile conjunction.
Polly will always remain open source and free within the boundaries of
GPL Licensing.
If you are interested in
contributing stuff to the Polly project (music, code, graphics, females, morale, design), help will be severely appreciated.
Summer 2009
So it finally happened again. I finished off a couple of my PhD-projects, had a nice holiday, got drunk and decided to implement real-time bullet physics. I've
also decided to lower my own expectations - creating the originally intended RPG would just be too much. I'm therefore settling on something "simpler", a
carmaggeddon-interstate '76-alike arcade shoot'em up cargame. With real physics. At least it's simpler to implement, will be great fun - and even better, the
project is feasible.
Current version: 0.096
Right now, focusing on implementing bullet physics and a car engine
Estimated release date: Will await release until first demo of game project completed
New:Yet another sexier video of Polly
